Jon Bon Jovi is beaming with pride as he opens up about his son Jake Bongiovi’s recent wedding to actress Millie Bobby Brown. The rock legend, 62, shared heartwarming details about the intimate ceremony and the newlywed couple’s happiness.
“They’re great, they’re absolutely fantastic. It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be,” Jon said.
News of the wedding broke on May 24, when People confirmed that Jake Bongiovi, 22, and Millie Bobby Brown, 20, had exchanged vows in a private ceremony less than a week prior. A separate report from The Sun described the nuptials as a “very low-key, romantic affair” and revealed that the couple plans to hold a larger celebration later this year.
The couple was recently spotted in the Hamptons, as captured by Page Six. In the photos, Jake and Millie were seen wearing matching silver wedding bands while driving around in a blue convertible, enjoying their first days as newlyweds.
Jon Bon Jovi has previously expressed his admiration for Brown. In an April interview with The Times of London, he praised the Stranger Things star and shared his excitement about her joining the family. “I’ve gotten to know her in the last year, she works really hard, and she and Jake will grow together in their own way,” he said. “It is an accelerated version of what I went through 40 years ago, and I think, with the support of family around them, they’re gonna be great together.”
Millie Bobby Brown is now the second daughter-in-law to join the Bon Jovi family this month. Earlier in May, Jon’s son Jesse Bongiovi married longtime girlfriend Jesse Light in a Las Vegas ceremony.
Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown were first linked in the summer of 2021 after meeting on Instagram and transitioning from friends to a romantic relationship. In April 2023, Brown announced their engagement with a heartfelt Instagram post quoting Taylor Swift’s “Lover.” She shared a photo of her diamond ring, which had once belonged to her mother.
Reflecting on their relationship, Brown told The Sunday Times in August 2023, “I was interested in him and wanted to know more. As soon as we spoke, I knew he was going to be a huge part of my life. After we met, we knew we never wanted to leave each other’s side.”
